Joël Taché is Vice-President, Corporate Risk Management for SNC Lavalin. He is the Chairman of the Risk Evaluation Committee and Secretary of the Bid and Investment Approval Committee and responsible for the company’s Enterprise Risk Management Program.

Joël has also been recently appointed Risk Officer for SNC Lavalin Power Group where he is responsible for all proposal approvals and for the Power group's overall strategic and operational risk management program to help it meet its governance, strategic and operational objectives.

Joël has about 20 years of experience with worldwide leaders in the energy, construction and utility industry.

Prior to joining SNC-Lavalin, Joël worked for over 10 years at Suez Environment, where he held positions of increasing responsibility. He most recently served as Senior Vice-President, Strategy, Planning, Risks and Investments for a major subsidiary of the Suez group in Atlanta, United States, where he lead key acquisitions and investments. Before joining the Suez group, Joël worked at Cegelec/Alstom where he started his career, and then joined Vinci/GTM where he held the double position of Assistant Vice-President, Construction Operations, and Director of Global Project Development and Structured Finance, Concessions Operations.

Joël has a wealth of experience in the development and delivery of major EPC, EPCM and operation and maintenance projects in the power, infrastructure and water industries. He has worked on each life cycle stage of major projects and has developed a deep expertise and successful track record in structuring risk balanced transactions to generate sustainable value to all stakeholders.

Joël holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Montreal, Canada, as well as a Master’s degree in Finance from the Lincoln International Business School in Paris, France. He also holds a business law certificate and a public accounting diploma from the National Institute of Economics and Accounting Techniques in Paris.
