Andrew McKinnon is the Director for Provincial Affairs and Outreach at the Global Automakers of Canada (GAC) where he has worked for the 15-member company association since 2018. His work at the GAC requires a keen understanding of the major issues affecting the Canadian automotive industry, in particular those related to the transition to zero-emission vehicles. Working with the GAC’s member companies, which include some of the world’s leading automotive brands, Andrew enjoys the opportunity to build consensus positions, learn from industry experts, and facilitate the work of the association’s various committees. Prior to joining the GAC he worked for the Toronto Environmental Alliance and had a career as a reservist in the Royal Canadian Navy. Andrew holds a Master of Arts from Simon Fraser University’s School for International Studies.
