Iris Krawchenko graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy in 1985 and completed a residency in Hospital Pharmacy at McMaster University Medical Centre in 1986.  Since 1989, she has worked for
Dell Pharmacies in Hamilton.  She is the pharmacist manager at the Dell Pharmacy located in the Rosedale
Medical Centre and has also achieved the designation of Certified Geriatric Pharmacist.   Currently, Iris is Chairman of the Board of Directors for their 17 locations.  In addition, she has been involved in numerous professional activities some of which are highlighted below;
•    Iris was elected as President of the Ontario College of Pharmacists in 2003/2004.  She also is credited for creating and chairing the Task Force on Optimizing the Role of the Pharmacist
•    Iris was the 2006 recipient of the Commitment to Care Award for the Best Pharmacist / Physician Team.  Together with Dr. Richard Tytus, they developed and piloted “The Passport to Health” Program as well created a patient focused DVD entitled, “Hypertension – A Patient’s Journey”.  
•     Iris completed a 3 term commitment as a Pharmacist Mentor for the Pharmacist/Physician Mentorship Program – HealthForce Ontario. The program was a dedicated interprofessional, education, HealthForce Ontario
funded program, co-developed by the Ontario Pharmacists’ Association and the Ontario College of Family Physicians, to provide resources and a framework for the integration of pharmacist services into primary care practice and for the development of collaborative relationships in a variety of patient care settings.
•    Iris is a member of the Advisory Board for Pharmacy Technicians at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology
•    Iris has many years experience in facilitation and delivery of educational programs to pharmacists.
•    In 2008, Iris was appointed to the Ontario Pharmacy Council which is mandated to ensure pharmacists' involvement in the development of pharmaceutical and health policy including professional pharmacy services for compensation by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.  
•    In 2007, Iris was awarded Ontario Pharmacist of the Year by the Ontario Pharmacist Association

Iris resides in Hamilton with her husband John and is the proud mother of 3 children.
