Winner of the 2019 Hamilton Arts Fiction Award for her novel "Body Swap" (Dundurn Press), Sylvia McNicoll has written over 35 young adult novels. She is the past president of the Canadian Society of Children’s Authors and Performers (CANSCAIP) and a past member of the board of directors for Access Copyright as well as the former features editor for Today’s Parent, Toronto. For her historical fiction novel "Revenge on the Fly", she spoke in South Korea at the Seoul International Book Fair and toured Colombian libraries and schools. Sylvia’s middle grade "Great Mistake Mysteries" will soon be translated into Russian. Recently, Sylvia orchestrated the videotaping of over 40 authors and illustrators for I Read Canadian Day.
