Marina is the President & CEO of CanadaHelps, the largest destination for giving and fundraising in North America and a fast-growing, social technology enterprise.

Marina is passionate about charities and their essential role in Canada, and about building the capacity of the charitable sector through technology and education. Under her leadership since 2013, CanadaHelps has rapidly accelerated its growth trajectory, almost tripling the donations it facilitates for charities to $200 million a year, and dramatically expanding its offerings for both charities and donors.

In 2016, in recognition of these accomplishments, Marina and the co-founders of CanadaHelps were awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Special Citation for Social Enterprise.

Marina is an in-demand public speaker and panelist, and a regular contributor to publications such as the Huffington Post Canada.

Prior to joining CanadaHelps, Marina had a 25-year career in leading e-commerce, technology, and media companies, including as Chief Executive Officer at Lavalife Corp., Chief Marketing Officer at Kobo Inc., and Group Publisher for St. Joseph’s Media, including the award-winning Toronto Life magazine. She has served on boards for The Walrus Magazine Foundation, Magazines Canada, and Interactive Advertising Bureau.

Marina holds an M.Ed from OISE/U of T, specializing in Organizational Learning and Change and Strategy Development.
