Gord Keen has been a police officer for over 30 years, serving 10 years with the Metropolitan Toronto Police and over 20 years with the Ontario Provincial Police. He has spent 10 years in training Defensive Tactics, Firearms, Police Vehicle Operations, Immediate Rapid Deployment Tactics and First Aid/CPR. Throughout his career he has also served as a Public Order Unit member & trainer, Evidentiary Breathalyzer Technician, Coach Officer and Police Fitness Appraiser.

Keen has spent 15 years as a Traffic Specialist, including Off Road Vehicles, Marine, & Bicycle Safety and is recognized as an expert in E-bikes & e-bike enforcement. He is also a police driving instructor, Master Radar/Lidar Instructor, StarChase Trainer, Automated License Plate Recognition Instructor Trainer, and Aircraft Enforcement Trainer

He has served as the liaison between Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Central Region Ontario Provincial Police, where Keen has assisted in implementing a safety program called Campaign 911, a program designed to encourage the public to report possible impaired drivers immediately as this is a life threatening situation. Keen is a member of the Provincial Speed Advisory Committee (OACP) and regularly teaches traffic related programs at the Ontario Police College, and Ontario Provincial Police Academy.

Away from work, Keen is happily married to his wife of over 30 years and has three grown sons (a police officer, a paramedic and an Economics and Financial Planning Analyst). He enjoys running, cycling, boating and is a multi-time Ironman finisher.
