Frances Horodelski has had extensive experience in the capital markets with over 25 years in a variety of increasingly senior positions at two of Canada’s major investment dealers – RBC Dominion Securities and ScotiaMcLeod. These experiences crossed various aspects of the investment world including derivative analysis (preferred shares, warrants), equity analysis, portfolio strategy, investment banking and managing the portfolio advisory groups at both firms. She holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She was one of only a handful of women to sit on the board of directors at RBC Dominion Securities in the 1990s. She later adapted her investment knowledge into a second career as journalist/anchor for the top-rated TV show on BNN “Business Day AM” as well as authoring daily the morning note, one of the most popular pieces of market commentary in the country.
