Cryptocurrencies: Balancing Regulation & Innovation in a Booming Market

11:30am-1:30pm | Fairmont Royal York - 100 Front Street West, Toronto

We’ve seen the push and pull between innovation and regulation play out with a number of disruptive technologies and business models, notably with companies like Uber and Facebook. The rapid growth of the cryptocurrency market has led to the same tension between advocates of the technology and securities regulators. Our panelists, some of the leading voices in this rapidly-evolving space, will share their insight: how do we keep pace with change in a fast-moving, highly competitive space? Is enough being done to protect the public interest? What is the right path forward for the cryptocurrency market in Ontario?
