Join the Economic Club of Canada for our annual Financial Literacy Month event:

This Financial Literacy Month, join Rina DeGrazia, Vice-President, Financial Education at TD, and Jennifer Tescher, President and CEO, Financial Health Network, for a frank discussion about financial health in North America and a holistic look at how Canadians are managing their personal finances. DeGrazia will share findings from TD's newly launched Financial Health Index and discuss how the bank is helping Canadians feel more financially confident through its business and corporate citizenship platform, The Ready Commitment. Jennifer Tescher will provide perspective on the financial health of people in America, drawing on data from her organization’s U.S. Financial Health Pulse study. Together, they'll share about the importance of removing the stigma that comes with talking about money.

Jennifer Tescher

Jennifer Tescher is President & CEO of the Financial Health Network, the nation’s authority on consumer financial health. Tescher founded the Financial Health Network in 2004 and has since achieved notable success in championing increased access to high-quality financial products and services for underserved consumers as an objective for the industry. Through its Compass Principles and a lineup of proprietary research, insights and events, the Financial Health Network connects members of its network to build a more robust financial services marketplace.

Tescher is a nationally known thought leader on the topic of consumer financial health, contributing often to American Banker, and frequently quoted in high level consumer and financial press. She is a frequent speaker across a broad spectrum of industry and policy convenings, including everything from Money20/20 to the Department of the Treasury. Tescher also launched the Financial Health Network’s annual conference “Emerge: The Financial Health Forum,” which presents cutting-edge thought leadership and showcases innovators, executives, and emerging companies in the financial services industry.

Tescher received Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” Award in 2006 and is currently an advisory council member of Accion’s Center for Financial Inclusion. She received undergraduate and graduate degrees in journalism from Northwestern University and a public policy degree from the University of Chicago.

Rina DeGrazia

Rina Degrazia is the Vice President of Financial Education for the Canadian Personal Banking at TD Bank Group. She is responsible for helping set the future direction of financial literacy within the organization that will help drive a positive change for our employees, customers and communities.

Rina joined TD through the Laurentian Bank acquisition and has enjoyed every moment along the way. Over the past 23 years Rina has had various roles in customer facing, sales leadership and National office strategy within Branch Banking, Wealth Management and most recently Transformation.

Rina loves to contribute to the social development of her community, and sits on the board for the Georgetown Hospital Foundation, ProAction Cops & Kids and Halton Food for Thought.
