Karen Thorne-Stone is the President and CEO of the Ontario Media Development Corporation, a crown agency responsible for stimulating investment and job creation in Ontario’s creative media industries. Thorne-Stone works to foster an advantageous business environment for the province’s entertainment and creative
cluster including the book and magazine publishing, music, film, television, and interactive digital media industries. She facilitates innovation, supports cross-sector collaboration, enhances and leverages investment, and promotes Ontario as an international centre of excellence.  Thorne-Stone is responsible to develop
and direct a wide range of programs and services including tax credits, investment funds, research initiatives, and international partnerships.
