Ian Telfer

Chairman World Gold Council

Ian Telfer was elected Chairman of the World Gold Council in September 2010. He is also Chairman of Goldcorp and has been a senior executive in the gold mining industry for the past 25 years. During this time Ian financed, developed and operated mines in 12 countries throughout the Americas, Asia and Australia. He has served as a director and officer of several Canadian and International mining companies. Ian is a member of the Canadian institute of Chartered Accountants, holds a BA from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
