Nothing has more boldly transformed the modern Canadian consumer retail and service landscape than the simple reach of a customer’s hand into her wallet and the handover and swipe of a plastic blue card at the cash register.

Canada’s AIR MILES Rewards Program is recognized around the world as the model of coalition marketing programs for its pioneering use of data and rewards.  In fact, since the first time an AIR MILES Collector used their universally recognized blue card back in March 1992:

-Over 2/3 of Canadian households belong to the program (over 10 million active households)
-An AIR MILES Card is swiped 1000 times a minute, every minute of every day
-More than 50 million reward redemptions since inception (equal to approx. $2.5 billion worth of rewards)
-More than 38 billion AIR MILES reward miles issued
-Since 1992, AIR MILES has had about a $650 billion sales impact
-In 2009, AIR MILES launched the My Planet program designed to help Canadian consumers make more sustainable choices
