Rebuilding Trust in the Capital Markets: Canada's Opportunity to Lead

November 23, 2012
11:45 am - 1:30 pm

The Hilton Toronto

The financial crisis of 2008 eroded trust in the capital markets. It also created a new operating environment for Canada's business leaders. The role of all stakeholders in the financial reporting process is the subject of scrutiny and debate. We are also seeing a welcome push for increased transparency and collaboration between issuers, investors, regulators, audit committees and auditors.

Bill McFarland, CEO and Senior Partner of PwC Canada, will discuss the lessons learned from the financial crisis and the importance and opportunity for Canada's financial and accounting community to lead change and rebuild trust in our capital markets.
