What we spend on health care continues to ignite passionate debate on the sustainability of our system, fueled at times by ideology, misconception or myth. But what are we really spending? Where is the money going? What are Canadians getting in return? Graham W.S. Scott, Chairman of the Board for the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) will provide an evidence-based overview of how our health system and the health of Canadians have evolved over the past decade. For the first time, he will also publicly reveal CIHI's projected figures for health care spending in Canada in 2009, highlighting the latest expenditure trends and international comparisons.
