During the global financial crisis, Canada’s banking system became a model for the world. Unlike in most other countries, our banks have not cost the taxpayer a penny in bailouts, they continue to lend and create jobs to fuel the economy and remain sound and profitable. But we cannot rest on our laurels. How can our banks, regulators and the federal government work together to ensure that our banking system remains one of Canada’s leading sectors of tomorrow?
