Canada’s response to the H1N1 pandemic flu virus has shown how politics — even well-intentioned — can undermine health care. The politicization of the pandemic and the struggles of the federal and provincial/territorial governments to work together to protect the health of Canadians are a microcosm for the struggles of Canada’s entire health care system.
